Evening, Wanderers! I pray to God Almighty that everyone is safe and trying their best to remain so in the midst of the China-originated Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19). There are crazy and worrying times behind and ahead of us all and the best we can do is to follow safety guidelines to help stem the spread of this epidemic and find ways to remain productive.
This is the second time in my life that I have encountered something so dramatically world-changing. I commend the first responders, the police, the doctors, the nurses, the firemen, the US Armed Forces, and even the store and restaurant workers who are doing their damnedest to keep this country going and us common folk as sane as possible.
Whether good or ill, we must do our best to remember these events. Preserve them. Learn from them. And most importantly pay attention to the successes and shortcomings of those with the power to protect people from such dark times.
To do my part, I am happy to provide another brief escape from realism in the form of the current chapter “Of an Art so Deadly”:
