After receiving good news from the doctor and draining more fluid from my elbow, I am now granted limited mobility, allowing me to type with both hands once more. Starting tomorrow, I begin what should be my final revision before I publish and focus on marketing the story and expanding my audience. I now have several advertisements on TikTok @theheroofvalais and will probably start Instagram and YouTube as well.

Speaking of YouTube, I have been listening to a lot of music while working on these stories. While I have been listening to primarily metal tracks from Beast in Black, Battle Beast, Blind Guardian, Sabaton, and others, one band seems to have numerous songs that fit the theme of the adventure, and that is…

Eclipse

It started with the song ‘Viva La Victoria’, which I heard on a Spotify mix from the bands mentioned before. While they are a Swedish hard rock band, they have a distinct ‘Cowboy Western’ twang with several of the songs that got me hooked and seemed to match the main character’s rural beginnings. I had a vision of banjos, bagpipes, and heavy metal guitar riffs, which the band seemed to provide a better compromise. I later discovered the song ‘United’, which paired with the first song, became my intro/outro for the gaming sessions. It wasn’t until I got midway into the second adventure in the campaign (Which will be Book 2) that I did a deep dive into the band’s collected works and found ‘Anthem’, which, like the song’s name, became the anthem for the entire series. After every morning workout, I’d do my cooldown laps, marching to the song and envisioning the characters and their growing fellowship on the road, drawing closer to the BBEG, orchestrating the threats to the continent (Each weekend).
